You can apply data model templates that automatically create objects, properties, pipelines, and associations relevant to your industry. Using a template, you can skip the manual work of setting up your data model and more efficiently and reliably track data in your CRM database. You can also generate data model recommendations with Breeze Intelligence.

If you don't want to apply all elements of a template, you can choose which parts to include, or activate individual objects in the object library.

Available templates

At this time, the following data model templates are available:

  • Real estate: for real estate companies, such as agencies and property management firms, that work with real estate listings. This template recommends activating the Listings object and associating it with contacts. It also includes recommended custom properties and deal pipelines for renting, buying, and selling.
  • Healthcare (Enterprise only): for healthcare organizations that work with healthcare services and patients. This template recommends activating the Appointments and Services objects with custom properties and adding new custom properties for contacts.
  • Education: for schools, colleges, universities, and other educational organizations. This template recommends activating the Courses object and associating it with contacts. It also includes custom properties and association labels for Contact-to-Contact and Contacts-to-Courses associations.

To apply a template:

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Data Management > Data Model.
  2. Click Explore data model recommendations.

  1. In the right panel, select a template, then click Next.

Please note: to select the Healthcare template, you must turn on Health/Medical Data in your Sensitive Data settings.

  1. Review the recommendations, and make changes if needed:
    • By default, all recommendations are set to Activated or Included. This means the recommendation will be added to your account once the template is applied.
    • To leave out a recommended change, clear the [Activated/Included] checkbox. For example, you may want to activate a new object but don't want to include a suggested property.

Apply a template with Breeze Intelligence

You can generate data model template recommendations using Breeze AI. This allows you to view object, association, pipeline, and property recommendations specific to your business needs. This means recommended relationships between records (e.g., contacts, services), custom properties to track desired data points (e.g., service offerings), and pipeline stages relevant to your business will be generated. If you need to make changes to the recommendations (e.g., rename a property or its values) or not include some elements, you can do so.

For example, you run a landscaping business. You may see the following recommendations: contacts and services as associations, custom pipeline stages for deals (e.g., negotiation, contract sent), or custom properties (e.g., a dropdown property displaying your service packages).

To generate a template with Breeze Intelligence:

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Data Management > Data Model.
  2. In the upper right, click Explore data model recommendations.
  3. In the right panel, select Let Breeze get you started, then click Next.
    1. Enter a prompt, then click Generate. (e.g., I own a coffee roastery that operates in the U.S. and am onboarding my sales and marketing teams to HubSpot.)
    2. Review the generated recommendations and make changes if needed, then click Next.
    3. Review the changes, then click Confirm.
    4. A banner will appear when the template is applied successfully. To view more information about an object created or impacted by the template, click the Settings link.
    5. Once you’re finished, click Done.
